Mizi

Privacy policy

Updated October 22, 2026.

Mizi is an app for learning Mandarin. Here is, plainly, what the app keeps, why, and how to delete it.

What we keep

What we don't do

On your device

Study reminders and home screen widgets are built on the device itself, from your progress. None of it is sent to anyone. You can turn reminders off in the app's or the phone's settings.

Who else sees the data

Only the services that make the app work: Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore database, Crashlytics crash reports and Analytics usage metrics) and, in pronunciation practice, Cloudflare and Microsoft Azure, which receive the recording only to assess it. These services may process data outside your country, with the safeguards required by law.

How long

For as long as your account exists. Anonymous usage metrics are deleted by Firebase after 14 months.

Your rights

At any time you can:

For any other request or question, write to contato@lunariscode.com.

This website

The mizi.web.app website uses no cookies or measurement tools until you accept them in the notice shown on your first visit. If you accept:

If you decline, none of this is loaded. Your choice is stored in your browser; to change it, use the Cookies link at the bottom of any page.

In the lesson on the home page, the tone voice test only uses the microphone if you tap its button and your browser asks for your permission. The sound is analyzed on your device while you speak, and is not recorded or sent anywhere.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and asks for no data beyond what is described here. Children under 13 should create an account with a parent or guardian.

Changes

If this policy changes in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
